The Vibe: Classic, Simple Safari Living

Located right in the Olifants West Nature Reserve, the Bundox Explorer Camp is all about capturing the true feeling of a classic safari. Forget overly fancy frills—this camp focuses on comfort, simplicity, and total immersion in the raw, wild environment.

With a small, dedicated staff, your experience here will feel incredibly personal and warm. They focus on hospitality, taking care of everything from delivering your sunrise coffee to sharing fireside stories under the stars.

Your Home: Eco-Friendly Tented Luxury

The camp features four off-grid canvas tents that offer a relaxed kind of luxury. Each tent is sustainable, running entirely on solar power, and includes a private deck that looks out over the bush. It's designed to blend seamlessly into nature.

The Accommodation: Uncomplicated Comfort

At Bundox, we believe real safari luxury means uncomplicated, effortless surroundings that make you feel truly connected to wild Africa. The four double tents are inspired by an older, simpler era of travel.

Sleeping: Your tent features twin beds with comfortable mattresses, covered in crisp cotton sheets and light duvets. Extra blankets are available for those cooler winter evenings.

Power: The camp is completely off-grid, but a solar system provides power in your tent, so you can easily recharge your devices and camera batteries. There's also a fan for a cooling breeze when you need it.

En-suite Bathroom: You'll have a flushing toilet and a vanity with a basin. For showering, we use a wonderfully sustainable and effective bucket shower system that provides hot water on demand.

Mosquito flaps allow the tents to remain secure but airy, providing good ventilation in the warmer months. There is insect repellant and bug spray in each room, as well as packing and hanging space for clothing. Outside there is a small deck with comfortable chairs and views of the camp.
