Arrive at Tel Aviv Airport where you will be met by our representative who will escort you to your transfer to your hotel in Tiberias, on the Sea of Galillee.
After breakfast, begin the day at the Mount of Beatitudes, the site of the Sermon on the Mount, for Mass and full reading of the Beatitudes. Next, view Tabgha, the traditional site of the Miracle of Loaves and Fishes and see the ruins of the ancient synagogue at Capernaum. Drive to Magdala and view the ancient synagogue. End the day with a boat ride on the waters of the Sea of Galilee.
Begin the day in Nazareth. Visit Joseph’s workshop and Mary’s Well. Celebrate Mass in the Basilica of the Annunciation, see the Cave –home of the Holy Family. In the afternoon, drive to Haifa and enjoy the panoramic view of the harbor and the Bahai Gardens. Visit the Carmelite church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Stella Maris. Return to Tiberias by way of Cana and visit the Church of the Wedding Feast, site of Jesus’ first miracle. Renewal of Wedding Vows for married couples on the trip.
In the morning, begin our journey up to Jerusalem. Proceed to Mt. Tabor and drive to the Church of the Transfiguration for Mass. Enjoy a view of the Armageddon Valley. Continue south through the Jordan River Valley to Qasr-Al-Yehud where according to tradition, John baptized Jesus. Enjoy a special welcome service atop Mount Scopus upon arrival. View the panorama of the city and proceed to your hotel in time for dinner.
This morning, begin on Mount Zion, overlooking the Kidron Valley. Visit Caiaphas' House, St. Peter in Gallicantu and the Upper Room of the Last Supper. In the afternoon drive to Bethlehem for Mass at the Basilica of the Nativity. See the birthplace of Jesus and the Holy Manger. Visit Shepherd's Field and the Milk Grotto before returning to Jerusalem.
Begin the day atop Mount of Olives, and view the Old City of Jerusalem. Walk down the Palm Sunday Road, stopping at the Church of Pater Noster where Jesus taught the disciples the Lord’s Prayer, and the Church of Dominus Flevit where Jesus wept over Jerusalem. Continue to the Garden of Gethsemane. Enter the Old City through St. Stephen’s Gate and walk the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, stopping at the Stations of the Cross along the way.
Celebrate Mass at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.
Today is spent in the Dead Sea Basin. Drive through the Judean Desert to Masada, the mountain top ruin of Herod’s Palace and the last fortress of the Jewish revolt against Rome. Enjoy a swim in the Dead Sea. Continue to Jericho. See the ancient Sycamore Tree and view the Mount of Temptation from below. Celebrate Mass at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Jericho before returning to Jerusalem.
Today will be spent in the New City of Jerusalem. First, visit the Memorial to the Holocaust at Yad VaShem. Drive to Israel’s Parliament, the Knesset, and view the Menorah, pictorially depicting Israel’s history. Continue to the Israel Museum. View the Model of Ancient Jerusalem, a miniature of the city during the Second Temple period. Visit the Shrine of the Book where the Dead Sea Scrolls are housed. In the afternoon, drive to the village of Ein Kerem, traditional birthplace of John the Baptist. See the Church of the Visitation and celebrate Mass at the Church of St. John the Baptist. Join together in a Farewell Dinner at the hotel to summarize the tour.
