Itinerary / Flight Details

Day 1: Welcome to Zurich Arrive in Zurich and check into your hotel. Meet your Travel Director and fellow travelers this evening for a welcome dinner celebrating the start of your alpine adventure.

Day 2: Zurich to St. Gallen & Lucerne Travel east toward St. Gallen to view its UNESCO-listed Abbey Library with its stunning Rococo architecture. Continue on to the picturesque lakeside city of Lucerne. Join your Local Specialist for a walking tour covering the medieval Chapel Bridge, the poignant Lion Monument, and old-town squares.

Day 3: Lucerne at Leisure & Optional Alpine Excursions Spend a free day exploring Lucerne's boutique watch shops or take an optional excursion to the summit of Mount Pilatus or Mount Rigi via cable car and cogwheel railway for panoramic views of the Swiss Alps.

Day 4: Lucerne to Zermatt Journey south through the heart of Switzerland, passing through the scenic Matterhorn Gotthard region. Board the famous mountain train into the car-free alpine resort village of Zermatt, nestled at the foot of the iconic Matterhorn.

Day 5: Zermatt & Optional Gornergrat Railway Enjoy a free day in Zermatt. Take an optional ride on the historic Gornergrat Bahn cogwheel railway up to 3,089 meters for breathtaking, uninterrupted views of the Matterhorn and surrounding glaciers.

Day 6: Zermatt to Geneva via Bern Travel through the Rhône Valley to Switzerland's historic capital, Bern. Enjoy a guided walking tour of the UNESCO-listed Old Town, featuring medieval clock towers and arcade-lined streets. Continue onward to the cosmopolitan lakeside city of Geneva.

Day 7: Geneva Sightseeing & Farewell Dinner Discover Geneva with a Local Specialist, viewing the impressive Palace of Nations, the iconic Jet d'Eau fountain, and the historic Old Town. Celebrate your journey tonight with a farewell dinner shared with your group.

Day 8: Depart Geneva Your tour concludes after breakfast with a transfer to Geneva airport for your return flight home.
