And to get between the Whistler and Blackcomb mountains, jump on the Peak 2 Peak gondola, the longest and highest unsupported lift in the world.
The village itself has everything going for it – it’s pretty, super convenient and bursting with bars, restaurants and high-quality hotels. Not to mention, it’s got that famously friendly Canadian atmosphere. Take a walk along the Village Stroll to find somewhere to tuck into British Columbian staples like steak and seafood, toast the end of the day with friends, or even belt your heart out at karaoke. There are après sessions for families too, with kid-friendly activities and entertainment.

The Delta Whistler Suites are in a great location in the heart of Whistler Village, just a few minutes’ walk to the ski lifts.

The lobby has been done up in blues, whites and greys, and dotted with plush sofas, to give it a modern, bright feel. The rooms are contemporary in style too, and many have smart desks fitted with HDMI and USB cables, so you can hook up your laptop to the TV and stick on the kids' favourite film. We particularly love the one and two-bedroom suites with their large living rooms and kitchens, which come equipped with washing machines and dryers.
There's a luxurious spa with linked indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs and saunas. And you can pop into the Brickworks Public House for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You won't need to leave the hotel to get there either – it's accessed by a walkway lined with the names of local ski runs. And on the subject of skiing, all your equipment is stored right at the base of the mountain, so you don't have to carry anything anywhere.
